About the event

Forces of Nature is a multi-sensory art exhibit that invites guests to journey through Appalachian ecology, folklore, and creative legacy. It’s not just an exhibition but a living, breathing celebration of art, folklore, and ecological imagination.


This one night only event showcases the culmination of Stacey Pilkington-Smith’s residency in Ireland, alongside her newest body of work created through the support of an Arts & Science Council grant.


This year, Stacey invites additional artists to join her in expanding the exhibition into a shared encounter with folklore, the fairy realm, and the unseen forces that shape our connection to place. Together, they weave an environment where stories grow from the soil, and visitors are invited to cross into a space of wonder, intuition, and mythic possibility.
